Milestone Victories

Chip Davis, the head coach of the Deerfield (Mass.) boys' lacrosse team, won his 400th game on March 25, 2023, in an 11-7 win over Noble & Greenough (Mass.). Deerfield improved to 2-0 with the win.

Snapped

The longest active winning streak in the nation ended last week when Vestavia Hills (Ala.) defeated Mountain Brook (Ala.) 13-10 on March 20.

The Rebels win snapped the 31-game streak the Spartans had been riding since April 16, 2021. With the win, Vestavia Hills now boasts Alabama’s longest streak at 10 games. The Rebels are 10-0 and the No. 1 team in the state.

Mountain Brook’s streak ranks among the longest-reported streaks all time. Their 31 games tie them among the Top 60 with Allentown Central Catholic (Pa.), Stone Bridge (Va.), Delbarton (N.J.) and Montclair (N.J.).

Their 31-game streak is the longest in state history, according to LaxRecords’ research.
