Texas Kicks Off 2025 Boys Lacrosse Season
The lacrosse season begins today with two games in Texas. As we head into the season, here are some quick notes on Texas.
Episcopal Dallas (Texas), Hebron (Texas), Kinkaid (Texas), Plano (Texas) TMI Episcopal (Texas) all won their respective titles last season.
Blake Skinner from TMI Episcopal could reach 100 career wins this season. He enters the year 87-13 and is coming off a 19-2 season. The team has won at least 17 games in each of the past three seasons. He has led the Panthers to two titles in the last three seasons.
Keller (Texas) Head Coach Justin Anderson was the second person in history to record a 600-point career. the Centennial (Nev.) alum tallied 632 points in his career, averaging 7.61 points per game when he graduated in 2014. Anderson is tops in Nevada’s scoring history and is fourth nationally. Zed Williams from Silver Creek (N.Y.) was the first 600-point scorer.
Woodlands (Texas) Head Coach Anthony DeMaio scored 391 points during his high school career at Coronado (Calif.). He sits in fourth-place all-time and three points ahead of his brother Nicholas DeMaio who tallied 388.
Hayward Lee is still the state’s all-time leader in career wins with 250, but Chris Surran from Dallas Jesuit (Texas) is 25 wins away at 225.
